The Clinch River Valley Initiative Model (CRVI Model) has been pointed to as a notable success; other communities have often asked “What lessons can be replicated from CRVI? What information can be shared that is useful to other groups working in similar circumstances?” The CRVI Model is fully illustrated in a six-page document which provides insight on the lessons learned throughout the Initiative thus far. Since the initiative’s inception in 2010, we believe the following six elements have significantly contributed to the success of CRVI:
- Inclusive to all Stakeholders
- Active Action Groups
- Building Trust and Legitimacy
- Facilitation and Coordination
- Consensus Based Decision-Making
- Tracking Progress over Time
The Clinch River Valley Initiative Infographic (CRVI Infographic) was developed as a visual aid to help track progress throughout the Initiative and the 5 Actions Groups. The one-page CRVI Infographic provides a quick and concise illustration regarding the significant accomplishments made throughout the Initiative since 2010. This infographic was created with the help of multiple stakeholders, including CRVI Steering Committee members, federal, state, and local agencies, and regionally accumulated data. (The reference page for this document can be found here). The CRVI infographic will be used to help communicate information to new audiences and elected officials in hopes of increasing public participation and momentum moving forward with the Initiative. Each year the CRVI Infographic will be updated with new information as it becomes available and will continue to track the progress of the Clinch River Valley Initiative.
